AKTS Microsystems

Interdisciplinary engineering.

AKTS Microsystems was founded to create technically sound, regulation-oriented and long-term maintainable system architectures rather than isolated point solutions by combining computer science, natural sciences and engineering.

Foundation

Founded in Mainz in 2025.

AKTS Microsystems UG (haftungsbeschränkt) was founded in 2025 as an independent development and IT engineering company based in Mainz. It was established on the shared conviction that demanding technical systems remain sustainable only when software, hardware, infrastructure, data security, documentation and subsequent operation are considered together.

The company works for industrial companies, laboratories, SMEs, IT partners, integrators, public authorities and regulation-oriented organisations in Germany, Switzerland and other European markets. Open standards and suitable open-source technologies are preferred where they appropriately support security, traceability, economic efficiency and lifecycle requirements.

The team behind AKTS

The management combines scientific, information-technology and entrepreneurial perspectives. Decisions are taken jointly and implemented with clear responsibilities for customers, projects, quality, corporate development and technical operations.

Portrait of Aljoscha Kretschmann

Aljoscha Kretschmann

Managing Director · IT engineering, hardware, GxP systems, network engineering and local AI

Aljoscha Kretschmann combines academic training and professional experience in chemistry with computer science, systems and network engineering, and electrical engineering development. His areas of focus include customer-specific AI, complex networks, virtualised infrastructures, local AI platforms, sensor technology, data integrity and technically documented solutions.

Experience from analytical and GMP-regulated working environments informs an approach in which traceability, risk assessment, maintainability and real-world system operation are considered from the architecture stage.

Portrait of Tobias Schmidt

Tobias Schmidt

Managing Director · IT engineering, software, databases, Linux and open source

Tobias Schmidt combines academic training and professional experience in software development and document management with expertise in electrical engineering. He supports the company's strategic and organisational development and the structured coordination of customer, partner and cooperation projects.

The focus is on clear agreements, traceable responsibilities and robust framework conditions for consulting and project-based B2B cooperation. This links technical implementation, corporate development and long-term customer relationships within a common operating and decision-making model.

Principles

Expertise

Engineering

Systems are analysed methodically, requirements are translated into technical constraints and decisions are documented using traceable criteria.

Open Source

Open technologies and standards are preferred where they improve control, transparency, interoperability and long-term maintainability.

Independence

Technology decisions follow the target architecture, operational risk, data protection, availability and lifecycle requirements rather than vendor lock-in.

Security

Permission concepts, segmentation, logging, backup, recovery and controlled changes are incorporated into system design at an early stage.

Data sovereignty

On-premises systems, local AI and controlled infrastructures enable sensitive applications to be operated with reduced external dependency.

Documentation

Architecture, configuration, interfaces, tests, changes and operating requirements are treated as part of the technical service.

Working method

Projects begin with the target state, system boundaries, interfaces, risks and operating requirements. Implementation and handover are carried out in traceable work packages with documented assumptions, verifiable results and clear delineation of responsibilities.
